IMR Emergency Procedures

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES FOR URGENT PREMIUM / POLICY / CLAIM SUBMISSIONS IN THE EVENT OF INSURERS MARKET REPOSITORY (IMR) NON-AVAILABILITY

WHO DOES THIS AFFECT?

Any users responsible for the submission of Premiums / Policies / Claims to Xchanging (XIS or XCS) – Brokers, Managing Agents Service Companies, Third Parties, Software Houses.

These procedures will NOT affect Carriers.

WHY DO WE NEED THESE PROCEDURES?

In the event the IMR service is not available, and you are unable to electronically submit Accounting and Settlement (A&S) entries or Electronic Claims File (ECF) supporting documentation, Xchanging will provide regular customer communications about the incident and publish status updates on the Insuranceportal at: (https://insuranceportal.xchanging.com/security/viewApplicationStatus.jsp). Where necessary Xchanging will advise that these procedures will be invoked.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

If Xchanging have advised that emergency procedures will be invoked please refer to these instructions in order to make URGENT submissions to the IMR.
