Xchanging Ins-Sure Services announces new Non-Executive Director

LONDON, 28 January 2010 – The Board of Xchanging Ins-sure Services (XIS) is pleased to announce that Ewen Gilmour has been appointed as the Lloyd’s Market Association’s (LMA) representative to be a Non Executive Director of XIS.
XIS provides insurance processing services to businesses in the London Insurance market, including business processing, policy issuance and payments. It is a joint venture between Lloyd’s, the International Underwriting Association (IUA) and Xchanging (the business processing group). Since its establishment in 2001 through the merger of the Lloyd's Policy Signing Office (LPSO) and the London Processing Centre (LPC), XIS has played a major role in transforming processes in the London Insurance market, working in close co-operation with Market Associations and businesses.
Ewen most recently served as CEO and Managing Director of Chaucer Holdings Plc. His other appointments include Chairman of Hampden Managing Agency, Non-Executive Director of Antares Managing Agency, member of the Council of Lloyds, Non-Executive Director of Shelbourne Managing Agency.
Speaking on Ewen’s appointment, Richard Bucknall, Non-Executive Chairman of XIS said, “I am delighted to welcome someone of Ewen’s Gilmour’s knowledge, experience and reputation to the board of XIS. He will bring a fresh and valuable market perspective to our business”.

Ewen’s appointment commences with the XIS board meeting in February 2010. He will join the LMA Market Processes Committee in order to enhance LMA liaison with XIS.
