Xchanging brings Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race to Frankfurt

Frankfurt, 29 March 2008 – Xchanging, the fast-growing, international pure play business process outsourcing company and sponsor of the world's most popular rowing race, has invited business and media representatives to follow live coverage of the international sporting event on 29 March in Frankfurt's English Theatre. On a big screen, around 80 guests watched the 154th Boat Race between two of the world's most prestigious universities, Oxford and Cambridge, as well as the winners' trophy presentation ceremony with David Andrews, founder and CEO of Xchanging. Afterwards, the guests were invited to watch the English Theatre's current play, "A Picasso", together.
Xchanging has sponsored of the traditional rowing event since 2005 and has recently announced its continued sponsorship till 2012. Typically, the Boat Race attracts around 250,000 spectators along the banks of the river Thames and around 120 million television viewers in 110 countries . David Andrews was delighted to now bring the unique atmosphere of this sporting event to Frankfurt. "We want to promote the intercultural exchange between the financial hubs of London and Frankfurt", he said. Andreas Povel, Managing Director of the Frankfurt-based Xchanging Transaction Bank and President of the Union International Club, commented: "We want to create a link between sports, culture, business and the financial community of Frankfurt. This event underpins the importance of Frankfurt as an economic and financial centre."
The sports event also provided the guests with a perfect platform for networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
