Thomas Runge appointed Group Production Director at Xchanging. Runge becomes member of Xchanging Executive Committee

Frankfurt, 12th February 2007. With immediate effect, Thomas Runge has assumed the role of Group Production Director at Xchanging, the business processing services company. The 35-year old banker was also appointed a member of the Xchanging Executive Committee, the group’s senior management team. In his new function, Runge will take forward the development and implementation of new strategies across the whole company. Thomas Runge will also continue as Managing Director and Head of Production at Xchanging Transaction Bank.

Runge started his career with Deutsche Bank in Erfurt. After having finished his vocational banking training in 1993, he moved to the corporate headquarters in Frankfurt. From 1994 to 2000, Runge held several management positions at the investment bank Salomon Brothers AG (today Salomon Smith Barney), being responsible for “Global Operations” and application development. In 2000, Runge joined Citibank AG as Senior Vice President and Head of Securities Operations Global Corporate and Investment bank Germany. In 2001, Runge joined Xchanging Transaction Bank (formerly european transaction bank) holding managerial positions in the areas of relationship management and quality management. In 2002, he was appointed member of the management board. Today, he takes responsibility, amongst others, for the Securities Productions department. In September 2006, Runge and his team were awarded the German Project Management Award for the migration of the securities transaction processing of a German major bank. In tandem with work, the family man Runge has also completed a master degree in economics.
