Sole Representative of Overseas Company - category to enable an individual to enter the UK as the full time representative of an overseas company that does not have an existing representation in the UK

Businessman/Self employed Person

Businessman/Self employed Person - a category that enables the applicant to set up in business in the UK requiring a minimum investment of £200,000

Investor

Investor - category for a person who has at least £1million under his/her control with an intention to invest at least £750,000 in the UK by way of UK Government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active trading UK registered companies

Persons of Independent Means

Persons of Independent Means - category which allows an individual to establish residence in the UK who is at least 60 years old, has a close connection to the UK and who can show an income of not less than £25,000 per annum. Such persons must be able to maintain themselves from their own resources without taking employment or having recourse to public funds.

Writer/Artist visa

Writer/Artist visa - category for an individual who has established themselves outside the UK for the preceding year as a writer, artist or composer and who intends to work only in a writer/ artist capacity

Media Representative

Media Representative - for someone who has been engaged abroad by an overseas newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organisation on a long term assignment in the UK
